Link Worker with Drug and Alcohol specialism

2 Year Fixed Term Contract

Full Time

Band 5, Starting salary £22,066.88

This role requires a flexible and adaptable person who is willing to work in a variety of setting across Gloucestershire, therefore a driving licence is essential.  Provide specialist drug and alcohol advice, information and support for ACTion Glos staff and clients. To link clients with treatment services provided by CGL and their partners.  Relevant experience of working within the substance misuse service with people with complex needs is essential.

Liaison between social, health, housing and criminal justice will form a key part to this role, good record keeping will be essential to success in this post.  Knowledge of issues facing people with substance misuse issues is important to this role, to be able to provide a quality service to clients.

The role is for 2 year fixed term, based on funding.

Car provided – driving licence essential

Volunteer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Course Facilitator

An opportunity to deliver educational courses based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques supporting a trained CBT therapist for patients struggling with low level depression and anxiety. You will have a qualification in Psychology or Talking Therapies, preferably knowledge of CBT and experience of working in a Primary Care Psychology Service.


Volunteer Administrator/Receptionist

Providing the first point of contact to clients and professionals alike, a great opportunity to gain experience in administration and reception skills.


Volunteer Cafe Roles

The ARC Café is run by a dedicated team of staff and volunteers. Volunteers are in recovery and are able to gain skills, experience and training in customer service and food hygiene.
